 Volunteer Opportunities

Licensed/Certified Healthcare Practitioners:   We are currently looking for pharmacists, physicians, dietitians, podiatrists, chiropractors, nurses, nurse practitioners, pediatricians, psychologists, and social workers.  We have openings for a volunteer provider at 1pm on the first, second, and third Thursdays of the month.

Non- Licensed Volunteer opportunitiesNo Openings at this time.  Please check back later.  Perhaps in the Spring when our community garden begins again.  At that time, we need volunteers to assist with the garden from start to finish.  Plus, during open enrollment after November, patient education, health literacy classes and programming needs may be identified.

  • Licensed/Certified volunteers and Non-Licensed volunteers are Long term Volunteers who commit to one, four hour shift per month over a long period of time

Students and Short Term Volunteer opportunitiesPlease inquire about openings.  From time to time we do have opportunities outside of our established relationships with WSU, Oakland, University of Detroit Mercy and other schools.  However, this is on a case by case basis.  Please email *protected email* and indicate that you are interested in a short term or student volunteer opportunity.  All volunteers must be over the age of 18 to volunteer at Cabrini Clinic.

  • Short term and student volunteers commit to the needs of a specific project, requirements of their school or a one to two time commitment.  Then, they end their volunteer time.
  • Short Term Needs as of March 2016:  Website maintenance, Social Media updating, Front desk coverage for March only, Volunteer database entry for March only

PLEASE, consider the needs of our patients and INDICATE CLEARLY to the staff at Cabrini Clinic if you are interested in a long term or short term assignment.  Continuity of Care and the privilege of relationship is VERY important.  Thank you.
