Alisa Smith, Clinical Nurse Manager

Alisa Smith is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Detroit Mercy.  Since 2013, as Cabrini’s Clinical Nurse Manager, Alisa oversees the care given by 100 volunteer health professionals, and provides case management for at risk, uninsured patients.

Teresa Hernandez, Medical Social Worker & Care Coordinator

Teresa Hernandez joined Cabrini Clinic’s staff in 2008.  She graduated from Eastern Michigan University, with a Bachelors in psychology.  As the clinic’s Social Worker, Teresa does an intake on new patients, assessing their socio-economic needs.  Teresa is bi-lingual, and helps patients find housing, food, and transportation, and apply for Medicaid and other assistance programs.  She is our main contact with other community agencies serving the uninsured.

Susan Schooley

Susan Schooley, MD, Volunteer Medical Director

Dr. Schooley is Chair of the Department of Family Practice at Henry Ford, and leader of the Henry Ford Medical Group.  She has devoted her career to improving primary care for the underserved in Detroit.  Since 1995, she has served as Cabrini Clinic’s volunteer Medical Director.  In this role, Dr. Schooley oversees the care provided to clinic patients and consults with staff on policy and clinical issues.
